The Dutch utility vehicle specialist VDL has opened a testing location in Valkenswaard to test charging infrastructure for electric buses. At the charging square, a total of 7 vehicles can be charged simultaneously in different ways.

The area is located on the VDL Enabling Transport Solutions property, which is a subsidiary which is responsible for development and testing of new concepts and prototypes. Next to the standard and liquid-cooled plugs, the bus manufacturer also left options to test out different applications of pantograph solutions both on the vehicle and charging infrastructure.
